Renovation & Repositioning
Seattle Fire Station 27
Georgetown
Approval of the Fire Levy by the citizens of Seattle in 2003 provided funding for renovation or replacement of the city's thirty-two neighborhood fire stations. Located in Georgetown adjacent to Boeing Field, Station 27 was in need of renovation and a seismic upgrade. New programmatic operation requirements, such as the expansion of the beanery, new bunker gear storage and cleaning, and renovated living facilities, were incorporated. On the station's exterior, a new roof and cosmetic improvements were executed.
